1) Commitment & Compliance

Prime Recruitment Services (“PRS”) commits to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, aligned to the UK Government strategy and Public Procurement Notice PPN 06/21. This Plan supports our environmental, ethical and social value responsibilities across operations and supply chains.

2) Baseline Emissions (2023)

2023 is PRS’s baseline year. We operate from a serviced office in Belfast with shared utilities (no direct energy contract control), no company-owned vehicles, and occasional business travel (client/council meetings).

ScopeDescription2023 Position
Scope 1 Direct emissions from sources owned/controlled by PRS (e.g., fuel combustion, company vehicles). 0 tCO₂e — No PRS-owned combustion sources or vehicles.
Scope 2 Indirect emissions from purchased electricity/heat/steam. Minimal (shared) — Indirect, via serviced office; not under PRS procurement control.
Scope 3 (selected) Other indirect emissions, e.g., business travel, purchased goods/services, cloud/IT services. Low — Occasional travel; light office procurement and cloud software usage.

Note: As a serviced-office tenant, PRS will refine Scope 2 and relevant Scope 3 estimates as landlord data becomes available.

3) Current Measures to Reduce Emissions

  • No company-owned vehicles.
  • Remote & digital-first operations; video meetings preferred.
  • Serviced office with efficient shared systems; limited onsite consumption.
  • Electronic documentation & cloud storage to reduce materials and travel.
  • Supplier due diligence that favours responsible, low-impact service providers.

4) Future Carbon Reduction Actions

  • Issue low-carbon travel guidance and promote public transport/car-share where feasible.
  • Prioritise suppliers with published Carbon Reduction Plans or equivalent commitments.
  • Increase remote engagement to reduce transport emissions further.
  • Conduct an annual review of travel, procurement and cloud/IT-related emissions.
  • Publish yearly progress updates on our website.

5) Monitoring & Governance

  • Annual review by Senior Management with documented actions.
  • Compliance oversight and improvements led by the Compliance Officer.
  • Integration with CSR reporting and supplier management processes.
PRS will enhance data quality (e.g., landlord utility disclosures, supplier footprints) to improve year-on-year measurements.

6) Social Value Linkage

Carbon reduction supports public sector Social Value outcomes. Alongside this Plan, PRS advances:

  • Living Wage accreditation and fair work practices.
  • Disability Confident inclusive recruitment.
